We Live Small-Project (WLS)

Personal Project | 2016 -> Now

With the 'We Live Small' project, my partner and I have embarked on a unique endeavor to transform a 25m² studio in the heart of Brussels into a sustainable living space. Our conscious decision to embrace small living not only significantly reduces our environmental footprint but also challenges us to rethink traditional notions of comfort and convenience. In our pursuit of a low-impact lifestyle, we've taken DIY to the next level by crafting every aspect of our living space ourselves.

From custom storage solutions to the mezzanine we sleep on, each element reflects our dedication to creativity, makebility, and passion for design. Drawing on my background as an industrial product designer, I approach our small house as a large-scale product, utilizing industry techniques to optimize functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability. We create bespoke objects tailored to our specific needs, surpassing the limitations of off-the-shelf solutions. At 'We Live Small,' we're not just living in a tiny space; it is our laboratory where we experiment.
